This blog post is going to be the comparison of three different pizza joints around. We will compare Piasanos, Johnny’s, and Pie in the Sky.

Starting with Paisanos, the restaurant is located in downtown Kennesaw on the corner of S Main Street and Kennesaw Due west. It is a very quaint pizza joint but has a few unique perks. The inside is fairly small and only has about 15 tables. However, outside, there are just about the same amount of tables on their outdoor patio. As seen below.

What made Piasanos so interesting to me is their Thursday night excitement and deals. They do dollar beer and outdoor live music. This has kept me coming back for a few years now. It has become a tradition to go to Piasanos on Thursdays. The atmosphere is exciting and happy, the outdoor bonfire is welcoming and comfortable, and the service is upbeat and friendly. I love their meatball sliders; they pair perfectly with cheap, domestic beer. Also, Piasanos is pet friendly so you can bring your dog to sit outside with you. I absolutely love the ambiance on Thursday nights. I think that because Piasanos is so close to the road, it is nearly impossible to miss what is happening outside. Tons of people sitting and having a good time, as well as loud live music, and smoke coming up from the fire. In the picture above you can see the red truck in the back is actually driving up to the stop light about 10 feet ahead of that. This is great for their business because they basically have free advertisement by being so close to the road.

Johnny’s is a pizza restaurant located on Wade Green Rd. I absolutely love this quick and delicious New York style pizza. My boyfriend and I love going there on Tuesday for their $1.00 slice of cheese and to enjoy their Johnny’s brew which is only a couple of dollars. If we come on any day other than Tuesday we love enjoying their garlic knots and Calzones. We love playing Keno while we are there and enjoy the laid back atmosphere and we never feel rushed. The servers there are so chill and it is almost like a neighborhood pizzeria. They have regulars that come in almost every day and everybody knows everybody there. This is a picture of 4 slices of cheese pizza and a pitcher of beer which only cost about $8.00.

The third pizza joint that I would like to talk about is Big Pie in the Sky. Its name says it all, they serve a 30” XL pizza. Their “slice” is cut from the 30” pizza which means that their slices are HUGE. I think it is equivalent to two personal pizzas. I like going there because I can get a slice and be full. They also do daily deals like wine Wednesday in which they serve $2.00 glasses of wine. Personally, I love that deal ;). One of the most unique things about this pizza restaurant is their Carnivore challenge. You have to schedule it in advance because it is so intense. The rules say that 2 people have to eat one of their 11 lb. in under an hour. There is no throwing up, leaving the general vicinity, or going to the bathroom. They take it very serious and disqualify people who break these rules. It is $50 to try and $250 to win. The restaurant was featured on the Travel Channel’s Man v Food for this challenge. So far they had 7 winners beat the challenge. Below is a picture from their website of the 11 lb Pizza and two guys that finished it in just under 45 minutes. Personally, I could not imagine being that full and I’m pretty sure I would have to spend the $200 I won on stomach medication after eating that much meat and cheese!

Overall, these three pizza joints are different but all share the same love for pizza. Depending on what you are looking for, whether it be pizza, cheap beer, or live entertainment one of these restaurants can satisfy your desires. The fact that they are only a few miles apart from one another gives you the ultimate decision on which experience you want to enjoy on any particular day.
